Patrick Tierney
Patrick Tierney is from Plano, Texas and is currently living in Denton while
he pursues a degree in Music Education and Percussion from the
University of
North Texas. He works in the DFW area as a technician, performer and private
lesson teacher, teaching marching percussion, keyboard percussion and music
theory.
Since starting at UNT in 2018, he has performed in a variety of ensembles
including the Green Brigade Marching Band, classical percussion ensembles, the
UNT Brass Band, the 2 o’clock steel band where he serves as section leader, and
the
UNT Quad Ensemble. As a member, the Quad Ensemble traveled to PASIC and
received 1st Place in the small ensemble Division in 2019.
As he continues to work towards his degree at North Texas, Patrick has had the
privilege of being taught directly by and working with
Professors Paul and Sandi
Rennick, Mark Ford, Christopher Deane, and Stockton Helbing.
