Sarah Vasquez
Sarah Vasquez is a percussionist and music educator in the Dallas-Fort Worth
Area. Originally from El Paso, Texas, she moved to East Texas to study
percussion under
Dr. Brian Zator at
Texas A&M University-Commerce.
Sarah graduated from TAMU-C in May 2020 Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in
Music Education. While at TAMU-C, Sarah performed in the wind ensemble, jazz
band, and various percussion ensembles.
In addition to participating in college music ensembles, Sarah marched five
years of Drum Corps. She played in the front ensemble at
Academy DBC,
Crossmen DBC,
and The Blue Devils DBC
where she was also inducted into the membership hall of
fame. To continue her Drum Corps career, Sarah is currently on
percussion staff at
Academy DBC.
Sarah recently had the honor to perform at PASIC 2019
with the Percussive Arts Society All Star Collegiate Percussion Ensemble. She most recently accepted the
Assistant Percussion Director position with
Royse City ISD.
