Rishab Thadani
Rishab Thadani is from Plano, TX, and is currently a freshman at Texas A&M University
where he is pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering. He is currently a
member of numerous organizations including the Texas A&M Jazz Band, Percussion
Studio, and Design Build Fly Club, in which he helps build and compete remote-control
airplanes.
Rishab has been playing percussion since elementary school, and was in the band
program in middle school and high school. He enjoys playing a variety of percussion
instruments, most notably drum set and latin percussion. In marching band, Rishab
gained experience on both bass drum and in front ensemble. He was part of many various
percussion ensembles that were performed at Spettacolo, and was also a member of
PanCats,
in which he played congas and timbales. While Rishab was a drum set player in the
Jazz Band, he got into the all-region jazz band twice and also got to audition for the all-state band.
Since his sophomore year of high school, Rishab has been playing drum set in a local
progressive metal band called Cassandra’s Curse. He has recorded an album with them,
and enjoys playing gigs with them in the Dallas area. He also records drum cover videos
for his youtube channel, Drum Covers by Rishab.
This includes songs from some of his favorite bands including Rush, Dream Theater, and
Animals as Leaders.
