Andrew Deng
Andrew Deng lives in Austin and is a student of the University of Texas at
Austin pursuing a major in computer science and certificate in Japanese.
He is also a lead pan player and bass guitarist in
The Pans of Texas Steel
Drum Band with the Butler School of Music, and plays piano, classical guitar,
and drum set for fun. During his time in the Plano Drumline cluster, Andrew
marched bass 4 all four years and acted as Bass Captain during his sophomore
and senior years.
In his free time, Andrew enjoys a variety of hobbies, including cooking, drawing,
reading manga, traveling when the opportunity arises, and contemplating the future.
Though he is less active in music-related activities, his passion for music has not
died down as he now spends much of his time writing steel drum, piano, and band
arrangements of music from anime and videogames.
